It has been over a week since the last review, and sorry about that. So, despite this being my two week list I found that there wasn't loads of Fantasy blog posts. But as usual, here is a short list of my favourite posts.
Chattering Horde - Painting Clanrats
Once again we get another great tutorial from a real good Skaven blog. It is really good to see a simple but very effective looking tutorial. Considering Skaven players have loads of rats to paint, this sort of simplicity has to appeal to them.
Company of the Damned - Beastmen Special Abilities
I really liked this post it is great to see the lesser used armies appear on blogs. Not only that, it is a very well written and thought out. The addition of the synergy is something different, which is usually overlooked by others when doing reviews or discussing specific army rules. It helps others look more at their army and how the unit can work with their other choices.
Company of the Damned - Eagles
Another from Company of the Damned. I am not a huge fan of the GW eagles, they are quite small looking and they lack dynamic look. Too static. These ones however, are really great looking. I love how they seem to be able to take off. The painting on them adds a great deal to them, great stuff.
Random Digression Wargamer - Desert Table Terrain
I included this because we don't see that much terrain making on the blogs. The fact that this is themed terrain to match a similar table, and will link with the owner's next army - Tomb Kings. I think it also reminds me that with some effort you can get a great looking table that is themed. Even more so is the fact that many pieces can come from quite inexpensive sources, such as stuff from Fish Tanks.
Troll Tales - The Giant
And to finish, the Giant. I have yet to ever face or use a giant but I love them. I find them to be so much fun, they might not be the best choice on the game but these jolly fellows look like a bundle of laughs. This is a decent look at the giant as a whole, if you are considering a giant it is worth a read.
