A little bit later than usually advertised, this week's Stunty Review has some great Fantasy blog posts for you to all to check out.
I am aware that this is a little late, with the Easter holidays and doing some painting I forgot about this. There are some great posts from this last week, especially with the US Adepticon recently ending we have seen some interesting entries. You will see here below, my favourite posts and entries from this last week.
Delusions of Grandeur - Adepticon Fantasy Tournament
A great report from the Adepticon Fantasy tournament. It is always great to read reports from other parts of the world, this report was well written with enough detail to keep you interested but wasn't a blow-by-blow account. The pictures helped and looked good.
Chattering Hordes - How to Paint Skaven Rat Ogres
Once more we get a really good tutorials for the Skaven from this blog, this time focusing on the Rat Ogres. It is very simple to follow - lots of washes - and the overall result looks great. I love painting and finding great tutorials like this is a great asset to the blogging world.
Chaos Kingdoms - Army Display Boards
This is an interesting topic. I say this because, as far as I am aware the UK tournament scene does not use these. However, it seems theses are a big and quite important thing over in the States (unsure about the rest of the world). This blog post looks at making your army stand out a little bit with one of these and the effect it might have.
Plastic Legions - Blood and Glory
This blog posts looks at the now infamous scenario, Blood and Glory. John looks at how more use of this scenario might help balance out tournament play slightly. The topic is well worth the read, with the idea being to force people to play differently and not put all their eggs in one huge basket.
Random Digression Wargamer - Desert Terrain
A great start to some themed terrain, ready for the impending release of the new Tomb Kings. It's simple work, but it looks great.
Sumpy Heaven - Post Tournament Thoughts
Another nice little post, this time a review on how John thought his army performed at a recent tournament. It is quite cool to see this type of analysis, especially if you are considering something similar.
This next one is a little different, it is three posts from the same blog, a tournament review.
Fields of Blood - Skaven 'Runefang' Wrapup Pt I
Fields of Blood - Skaven 'Runefang' Wrapup Pt II
Fields of Blood - Goblin 'Runefang' Wrapup
I am a fan of tournament reviews, this is great with a three for one report. Again, these reports don't go into great detail but then it is not needed. Instead they cover just enough that you get a highlighted report of the important parts of each match up. A nice little review by the two of them.
